1930s 0.45ct European Cut Diamond Ring, 14K Yellow & Platinum, $1850
That foliate pattern on the shoulders is one of my favorite design motifs.  It was popular in both Edwardian and Deco jewelry, and is sometimes referred to as “orange blossom” because an early 20th century jewelry manufacturer by the same name popularized the style. But you also see the design in much earlier jewelry.  My wife’s engagement ring is from about 1820, and has a similar pattern carved into the shoulders.
